Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken
  • 1 teaspoon hot spices powder
  • 4 tablespoons onion paste
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 50 gm cilantro leaves, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into medium size and wash it very well. Clean it very well so that no fat remains with the chicken pieces.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan on the burner over medium heat. If you have an induction cooktop, use this for cooking. This is very safe for cooking.
  3. Put onion paste, garlic paste, ginger paste, chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder to the oil. Stir it. After 2 minutes add 1 cup of hot water. Add chicken pieces and cover with a lid. Cook until the water becomes dry.
  4. Stir it and add the hot spice powder, yogurt, salt, and another 1 cup of water to the chicken pieces. When the portion of water level and chicken is the same turn off the burner. Transfer the chicken bhuna to a serving dish and spread the cilantro leaves over the chicken.
  5. Chicken bhuna recipe is ready to eat. Serve chicken bhuna recipe with paratha or naan roti or tortilla or rice or pulao.
