Cabbage is a good ingredient for salad. Here I described two cabbage with vinegar salad recipes. Both of them are healthy and wealthy. If you want only salad for your meal you can make anyone for either your dinner and lunch.

Ingredients for cabbage with vinegar:

  • 500 g fresh head cabbage
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 10ml vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon salt


  • Cut the cabbage into julienne cut with sharp knife.
  •  Mix egg yolk,  vegetable oil, vinegar and salt with ¼ cup water in a small pan.
  • Boil water in a large and deep non-stick saucepan. Place the small pan over the big saucepan and keep on stirring egg yolk, oil and vinegar mix. Remove when the mixture is dense.
  • Take cabbage in a different pan and dense mixture over the cabbage slices. Heat the cabbage. (Be careful not to boil.)
  • Cabbage with vinegar is ready to serve.
  • Serve the cabbage salad with rice pulao or tortilla.

Chicken Cabbage with Vinegar

Ingredients for chicken cabbage with vinegar

  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 2 cup cabbage sliced
  • ½ cup carrot sliced
  • 1 piece capsicum
  • ½ cup leek
  • 1 teaspoon green chili paste
  • 3 pieces red chili
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon mint leaves
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lettuce leaves
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon seasoning sauce

Ingredients for sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon cream
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dark soya sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Process for sauce

Mix all ingredients and keep aside.


  • Mix all ingredients of sauce in a bowl.
  • Add olive oil, seasoning sauce, garlic and ginger paste, lemon juice, and green chili paste to the chicken breast. Marinated for 2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven at 200⁰c for 10 minutes. Bake the chicken breast at 150⁰c for 30 minutes.
  • After baking keeps aside for cooling.
  • Cut all vegetables and wash and rinse very well.
  • Add lettuce slice, red chili slice, mint leaves slice to the vegetables.
  • Cut the chicken breasts into the ½ inchx1/2 inch.
  • Add leek and capsicum to the rest of marinated masala and bake this for 5 minutes.
  • Keep 1 tsp cabbage slice, lettuce slice, and mint slice aside for decoration.
  • Mix chicken slice, all vegetables, leek, capsicum, and sauce.
  • Spring lettuce slice, cabbage slice, and mint slice over the salad.
  • Chicken cabbage with vinegar is ready to serve. Serve the salad in front of your lovely family and guest.
