Cauliflower has abundant supplies towards the end of its season. During this time the flowers’ bunches are filled with fully bloomed off white edible portion of the flower. These flowers draw attention of vegetable lovers. It can be cooked in a different varieties ways for serving as snacks to different types of side dishes for dinner and lunch. Today I am going to share 3 types of whole cauliflower recipe with you.

 

The whole cauliflower recipe is made keeping a major portion of the flower intact and then cooking it with other ingredients. Its look is very gorgeous and so is the taste. It is not very difficult to cook. However, you need to follow the step by step process to rich to the actual taste.

Ingredients for whole cauliflower recipe

1 cauliflower

100 gm onion

250 gm green peas

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp turmeric powder

2 tomato

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp salt

½ tsp hot spice powder

1 tsp ginger paste

1 tbsp oil

 

Process for whole cauliflower recipes

Step 1

Wash and remove green leaves of cauliflower. Take it into a deep pan and boil it for 15 minutes with medium heat. Add ½ tsp salt when the cauliflower is boiled. Keep it to cool. Drain water from cauliflower.

Step 2

Cut tomato into cubes and keep it aside.

Step 3

Heat oil in a pan on the burner. Add onion slices to the oil. Stir onion until it becomes soft. Add ginger paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, chili powder, hot spice powder to the onion and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 4

After 2 minutes add tomato pieces and green peas to the spice mixture. Then add 1 cup of water. Wait until the water is boiled then add whole cauliflower very carefully. Cover with a lid and cook it with low heat. When gravy become thick, turn off the burner.

Step 5

Remove cauliflower from the pan very carefully. Spread gravy over the cauliflower.

 

Whole cauliflower is ready to serve with your lunch or dinner.

1 cauliflower

1 cup yogurt

2 tsp ginger paste

1 cup onion slice

1 cup oil

2 tsp garlic paste

1 tsp poppy seed paste

1 tbsp cashew nut paste

3 pieces cinnamon stick

5-6 pieces cardamom

1 tbsp sultana paste

1 tbsp clarified butter

2 tbsp nut slice

1 tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

6-7 pieces green chili

Cauliflower soak in milk

Wash and remove green leaves of cauliflower. Add half of yogurt, ginger paste and garlic paste to the cauliflower and marinate for 30 minutes.

 

Step 2

Heat oil in a pan with medium heat. Put cauliflower to the oil and fry it. Fry both sides and take out from oil. Keep it aside.

 

Step 3

Add onion and fry it for one minute. Then add rest of ginger paste, garlic paste, cardamom, cinnamon sticks, and salt to the onion. Stir it. Add cashew nut paste and cook it for 2-3 minutes. After mixing it very well add sultana paste to the spice mixture.

 

Step 4

Beat rest of yogurt with salt and sugar. Add the yogurt mixture to the spice mixture. Then add whole cauliflower to the mixture. Cover with a lid and cook it for 7-8 minutes or until tender.

 

Step 5

Before serving add green chili, clarified butter, and sliced nut over the cauliflower.

Delicious whole cauliflower is ready to serve.

Fried cauliflower

Total time 1 hour 10 minutes

Ingredients of whole cauliflower recipe

1 cauliflower (big size)

250 gm beef minced

1 tbsp onion paste

1 tsp ginger paste

½ tsp garlic paste

1 tsp chili powder

½ tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp hot spice powder

1 tbsp tomato sauce

2 tbsp cheese (chopped)

1 tsp salt

1 cup oil

½ cup flour

1 tbsp clarified butter

 

Process for whole cauliflower recipe

 

Step 1

Boiled cauliflower

Remove green leaves of cauliflower and soak the cauliflower into salt water for 30 minutes. Remove the cauliflower from water and boil it with boiled water for 6-8 minutes. You can use induction cook top for cooking.

 

Step 2

Boil minced beef with onion past, ginger paste, garlic paste, chili powder, turmeric powder, hot spice powder, salt, and half cup of water. Boil until the water dries up.

 

Step 3

Add oil in a pan. Then add minced beef to the oil. Add tomato sauce to the minced beef and mix it very well. Stir until dried up. Add chopped cheese to the minced beef mixture. Mix gently and keep it aside.

 

Step 4

Turn the cauliflower upside down and keep it in a plate. Put cooked minced beef in the gape of cauliflower. Do it very carefully so that the cauliflower doesn’t break.

 

Step 5

Make a dough with flour, salt, 1 tbsp water and 1 tbsp clarified butter. Make a round shaped tortilla. Cover the downside of cauliflower (where minced beef are inserted) with the tortilla. Cover very nicely.

 

Step 6

Deep fry the both side of cauliflower. Serve the whole cauliflower while still hot.
