Among various styles of cooking beef with different recipes, Hari Kabab is just an additional taste to the original beef. Its main attraction is the thin slices of beef well marinated and cooked with spices that give extra flavor and taste. Usually, during special occasions or parties with special friends, Beef Harri Kabab is served to draw the guests’ attention.

For a good hari kabab, you need to take a piece of solid beef avoiding any fat or bones.  Although many spices are used for cooking Beef Hari Kabab, the process is so easy that anyone can prepare this menu. The important part of cooking is the marinating of beef with green papaya paste and other spices.

Ingredients for beef hari kabab

  • 1 kg solid beef without fat and bone cut into thin slice
  • 1 cup onion, thin sliced
  • ½ cup cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon onion paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoon green papaya paste
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon green chili paste
  • 2 tablespoon onion, cut into thick slices
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 20-25 pcs black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 4 green chilies, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon hot spice powder (cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves)

Process for Beef hari kabab

Step 1

Cut the beef into thin slices. You need to use a sharp knife for making beef thin slices. Mix beef slices with green papaya paste and all other spices, except sugar and onion slices.

Step 2

Heat oil in the cooking pan. Put onion thin slices into the oil and stir for evenly frying. Before the onion gets brown put the onion to the meat with hot oil.

Step 3

Keep it for 8-10 hrs for marinating.

Tips: It is suggested to keep in the refrigerator during the hot season.

Step 4

After marinating, heat the pan and cook all marinated beef over medium heat. Cover with a lid until water comes out of the beef. Add green chilies and onion thick slices.

After the water dries uptake hari kabab out of the pan and takes it in a serving dish. Serve the delicious beef hari kabab with fried or plain rice.

This recipe is given by Tammana Parvin who lives in Canada. Her relatives and friends like her special muthi kabab very much. She gave me the beef kabab recipes for my beloved friends.

The name muthi kabab is given due to the process of making beef stakes by pressing with palm and fingers which is commonly known as muthi in Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu. This kabab is made with the palm of our hands giving it a special hand-pressed shape. Usually, home moms or ladies at home do this preparation using their clean and lovely hands. So, there is nothing to worry about touching with hand. Rather, it gives a touch of love from your loved ones.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef
  • 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 3 tablespoon mustard oil
  • 2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 3 tablespoon onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 4-5 green chili
  • 2 tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chickpea powder

Instructions

  1. Add turmeric powder, chili powder, cumin powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, oil, and salt to the beef. Add cook it until tender.
  2. Blend the tendered beef. Add chopped onion, green chili, and coriander leaves to the beef. Add egg, chickpea powder, black pepper, and cinnamon powder to the mixture.
  3. Take 2 tbsp of the meat mixture and shape each kabab by pressing with your palm and fingers. Preheat the oven for 5 minutes at 200⁰c. Grease the tray with oil. Place all kababs on the baking tray and bake it for 30 minutes at 180⁰c. After 15 minutes, check and turn around.
  4. Your delicious beef muthi kababs are ready to serve.
