Since I have been using my Phillips Air Fryer for quick and easy air fryer recipes, my time in the kitchen has significantly reduced. I am not only saving my time but also providing attractive healthy air fryer-cooked tasty and healthy snacks to my children.

Here, I am going to share some of the quick and easy air fryer recipes. Prior to that let me answer, “why use air fryer?” and “Is Air Fryer Recipe Healthy?”

Why use Air Fryer? 

Cooking in the air fryer has many advantages. I love using it due the following:

  •  Total cooking time reduces a lot (less than one-third of cooking in an electric oven).
  •  No need to dip the item in oil for frying. As such, the food does not absorb extra fat.
  •  The food is well cooked, and the original fat content is reduced by burning in the air fryer.

Is Air Fryer Recipe Healthy?

Yes, foods fried in the air fryer is healthier than any other cooking methods because it does not absorb extra oil or fat. Rather, the original fat of the food is already burnt. Secondly, the process of cooking eliminates if there is any bacterial or fungal contamination with the food item. So, the Air Fryer Recipes are healthy.

What can I cook in a small Air Fryer?

The air fryer cannot cook or bake a large amount of food due to the limitation of space or size of the grill pan size. But it allows you finely cooking of small amount snacks that can be shared between 3-4 family members. If you have more members, you may have to repeat the cooking. Even then the overall time taken for cooking should be lesser than cooking or baking by a large oven. More so, it has other advantages as discussed above.

How to Cook Pomfret Tandoori?

Time needed: 42 minutes.

Pomfret fish is very tasty fish. You can prepare Pomfret Tandoori in your Air Fryer very easily.

  1. Step 1

    Clean and wash pomfret very well. Scratch both sides of with a sharp knife.

  2. Step 2

    Add lemon juice to the fish and keep it for 10 minutes. Wash again. Lemon juice remove the bad smell of fish.

  3. Step 3

    Mix all ingredients. Spread the masala mixture on both sides of the fish. Marinate the fish for 10-15 minutes.

Pomfret has a quite different taste than any other fish. That is why some people do not like to say it a fish. Whatsoever, when I cooked pomfret tandoori in my air fryer, it gave an amazing flavor, which is different than cooking it in any other mode.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium-size pomfret
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon mustard oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Process:

Clean and wash pomfret very well. Scratch both sides of the pomfret with a sharp knife. Mix with lemon juice for 5-10 minutes. This lemon juice removes the flashy smell of fish. Wash again and keep it aside.

Step 2

Take a small bowl and add ginger paste, garlic paste, chili powder, salt, oil, and fish sauce. Mix them very well. Spread the masala mix on both sides of the pomfret. Marinate the pomfret for 15-20 minutes. Marination is not essential. But if time permits, it will increase the hot-spicy flavor in the pomfret.

Step 3

Brush the grill pan of the air fryer. Preheat for 5 minutes. Place one pomfret on the grill pan and bake it at 200°C for 12 minutes. Turn it over after 6-8 minutes. After cooking is complete, the color of the pomfret will turn to gold. Then take the pomfret from the grill pan.

Bake the other pomfret in the same way. Serve the pomfret tandoori or pomfret fry with salad.

Chicken Finger Recipe in Air Fryer

Easy and quick healthy air fryer chicken finger grilled recipe is another very often used recipe. I use chicken breasts for making the chicken finger grilled in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 250 gm chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Soy sauce

Process

Step 1

Wash the chicken breast and slice into finger shape with a sharp knife. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, BBQ sauce, Soy sauce, red chili powder, white pepper powder, and salt to the chicken pieces. Marinate the chicken pieces for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2

Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes. Brush on the grill pan. Put the chicken finger slices on the grill pan. Push the bucket with the grill pan into the air fryer. Set timer and temperature. Bake at 200°C for 10 minutes.

Step 3

When the cooking is complete, the color of the chicken slices will turn golden. Open the air fryer and take the grilled chicken finger from the grill pan. Serve the delicious and healthy chicken finger recipe with bread, salad, or tomato sauce.

Grilled Chicken Wings in Air Fryer

Thanks to my Phillips air fryer for its quick and easy grilled chicken wings. The air fryer chicken wings recipe is the one where I can use the surplus wings of the chicken, which usually I don’t use for any other type of cooking.

Ingredients

  • 8 pieces chicken wings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Soy sauce

Process:

Step 1

Clean and wash all the chicken wings. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, tomato sauce, Soy sauce, Oyster sauce, red chili powder, white pepper powder, and salt to the chicken wings. Marinate the chicken wings for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes. Brush the grill pan with oil or butter. Put chicken wings on the grill pan. Push the bucket with the grill pan into the air fryer. Set the timer and temperature. Bake at 180°C for 10 minutes. Turn over the chicken wings after 6 minutes.

Step 3

After complete cooking, the color of chicken wings will become golden. Open the air fryer bucket with the grill pan. Take grilled chicken wings from the grill pan to a serving plate. Serve the yummy grilled chicken wings with French fries, salad, or tomato sauce.

Chicken Breast in Air Fryer

Air fryer grilled chicken breast is a popular snack at my home. On most occasions, I need to separate the chicken breasts for the air fryer grilled chicken breast recipe.

Ingredients

  • 500 gm (2 medium size) chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon tandoori powder

Process:

Step 1

Clean and wash chicken breasts. Score with a sharp knife on both sides of chicken breasts. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, BBQ sauce, chili flakes, white pepper powder, tandoori powder, and salt to the chicken breasts. Marinate the chicken breast for 20-30 minutes.

Step 2

Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes. Brush the grill pan with butter or sunflower oil. Put the chicken breasts flat on the grill pan. Push the bucket with the grill pan into the air fryer. Set the timer and temperature. Bake at 220°C for 15 minutes. Turn over the chicken breast after 10 minutes.

Step 3

Open the air fryer bucket with the grill pan. After the chicken breast is cooked properly its color will turn to a golden brown. Then take the grilled chicken breast from the grill pan to a serving plate. Bake the remaining chicken breast in the same process. Serve the air fryer grilled chicken breast with bread, fried asparagus, beans, or French fries.

Smoked Fish Fillet in Air Fryer

I usually buy readymade smoked fish fillets for this recipe. Thanks to my nearby departmental shop for its availability that makes my life easier for the smoked fish fillet in air fryer recipe.

Ingredients

  • 500 gm smoked fish fillet
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Process

Step 1

Cut the smoked fish fillets to adjust the size of the air fryer grill pan. Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes. Brush the grill pan with sunflower oil. Put fish fillet slices on the grill pan and brush sunflower oil over the fillets.

Step 2

Bake at 180°c for 6-7 minutes. After cooking is complete, the color of fillets will turn golden-brown. Open the bucket with the grill pan and take the smoked fish fillet from the grill pan to a serving plate. Bake the remaining pieces of fish fillets in the same way. Serve with vegetables or salad, or tomato sauce.

Prawn with Coconut in Air Fryer

Prawn grilled or fried in is highly popular with almost everyone. My air fryer added more flavor to it. Although, earlier I cooked spicy fried prawn in the air fryer, this time I have used coconut and bread crumb to make the big size prawn more attractive. Prawn with coconut in the air fryer is a really quick and easy air fryer recipe.

Ingredients

  • 8 pieces big (6-7 inch size) prawn
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1 egg white part
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon shredded coconut
  • ½ cup bread crumb

Process:

Step 1

Remove head and shell from the prawn except for the tail portion. Wash and keep it aside.

Step 2

Add ginger paste, garlic paste, salt, fish sauce, black pepper powder, and oyster sauce to the prawn. Marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3

Beat the egg white. Mix shredded coconut with bread crumb.

Step 4

Coat prawn with flour slightly. Dip in the egg white. Then coat with coconut bread crumbs. Coat all prawns with flour, egg white, and coconut bread crumb mixture.

Step 5

Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes. Put 4-5 prawns in the grill pan and bake at 160°c for 8 minutes. Turn over the prawns after 4 minutes. Bake all prawns in the same process.

Baked prawn with coconut is ready to serve. Serve with tomato sauce, or salad as a healthy snack.
